The short version
- We use your words only to make your song.
- We never sell or rent your information.
- Your songs are private by default. You choose who gets the link.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we do it within 30 days.
What we collect
- When you order or email us: your name, email address, what you'd like, who the song is for, any dates you give us, and the words, memories, photos or voice memos you choose to send.
- When you pay: Stripe or PayPal handles your payment and, for memberships, your automatic renewals. We see that you paid, the amount, your plan and your name and email. We never see your full card or bank numbers.
- This website: no accounts, no ads, no tracking pixels and no analytics cookies. The order form opens an email on your own device, and nothing is sent until you press send.
How we use it
To write, make and deliver your song, put it on your Song Board, reply to you, send your invoice, and keep the business records the law requires. If you asked to hear when the app opens, we send you one email when it does.
Who helps us
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- AI writing tools (such as Claude, by Anthropic) help us turn your words into lyrics, so they receive the parts of your story we use for your song.
- AI music tools (such as ElevenLabs) receive your song's lyrics and a description of the style, so they can make the music.
- Before anything goes to an AI tool, we take out names, places and other private details you ask us to leave out.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and your Song Board.
- Fastmail handles our email.
- Stripe and PayPal handle payments and membership billing.
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces on this site, which means Google receives your IP address and basic browser details when a page loads.
Two Voices and songs about other people
For Two Voices songs, both people must agree to share their words before we begin. When a song is about someone else, please share only what you have the right to share. Songs that mention children are made only at the request of their parent or guardian.
Song Boards and share links
Your Song Board and each song have their own private link that isn't listed in search engines. Anyone you send a link to can listen, and can pass it on, so share it with people you trust. Ask us any time to turn a link off, and we will.
How long we keep it
We keep your words and files until your song is delivered, plus 90 days in case you want changes, then we delete them. Your finished song stays on your Song Board until you ask us to remove it. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to remove a song or Song Board. We reply within 30 days.
Age
This site and our services are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects an order you've placed, we email you.
